CBD Cream: A Promising Solution for Seniors with Gout

Many senior citizens suffer from the common and excruciating condition of gout, a form of arthritis brought on by the accumulation of uric acid in the joints. While traditional therapies like corticosteroids and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can help manage the symptoms, they frequently have unfavorable side effects. Cannabidiol, or CBD, is useful in this situation.

The Natural Hemp Plant

hemp plant for cbd
hemp plant for cbd topicals

The natural substance of CBD, which is derived from the hemp plant, has been discovered to have many therapeutic advantages, including the reduction of pain. It functions by interacting with the endocannabinoid system, which controls inflammation and pain in the body.

According to studies, ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4851925/) CBD can help lessen gout-related pain and swelling. Additionally, it has been discovered to enhance the mobility and general quality of life of those who have the condition. CBD does not have any negative side effects, making it a safe and effective alternative for elderly people with gout compared to NSAIDs and corticosteroids.

CBD Topicals

CBD can be applied topically in the form of creams or lotions or taken orally in the form of oil, capsules, or tinctures. CBD is absorbed into the bloodstream when consumed orally, where it can then reach the troubled joints and offer relief. Topical CBD products are used topically and deliver localized pain relief devoid of psychoactive side effects.

It is necessary to remember, though, that not all CBD products are created equal. In order to make sure you are getting a high-quality product, it is essential to select a reputable brand and buy from a reliable retailer. A healthcare professional should also be consulted before beginning any new supplement regimen, particularly if you are taking any other medications.

In conclusion, CBD is a promising treatment for elderly gout sufferers. It is a natural remedy that is worthwhile taking into consideration because of its capacity to lessen pain and swelling, increase mobility, and provide relief without causing any negative side effects. Before using CBD, as with any new treatment, it is crucial to conduct research and speak with a healthcare provider.

“The Ultimate Post-Workout Recovery Tool: How 5000mg CBD Cream Can Help Athletes Perform at Their Best”

You understand as an athlete how crucial it is to look after your body both during and after workouts. Anyone who participates in team sports, lifts weights, or runs is probably familiar with the muscle soreness, fatigue, and inflammation that can result from rigorous training. While more and more athletes are turning to natural remedies like CBD for additional support, more conventional methods like rest, ice, and over-the-counter painkillers can be helpful in managing post-workout recovery.

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is a chemical compound that is present in the cannabis plant and is thought to have a number of potential health advantages, including the ability to lessen pain and inflammation. CBD cream is one type of CBD that has grown in popularity as a natural treatment option. And you might think about a 5000mg CBD cream if you’re an athlete looking for a stronger option to aid in post-workout recovery.

How Does a 5000 CBD Cream Work?

But what is 5000mg CBD cream exactly, and how does it function? A topical product called CBD cream is used on the skin. Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is a chemical substance found in the cannabis plant and is used to make it. CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it doesn’t cause the “high” associated with marijuana use, in contrast to THC, the psychoactive component in marijuana. When applied topically, CBD interacts with cannabinoid receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system after being absorbed through the skin. A network of receptors and neurotransmitters known as the endocannabinoid system regulates a number of bodily processes, including pain, inflammation, mood, and sleep.

Although the precise mechanism by which CBD reduces pain and inflammation is not fully understood, it is thought to inhibit the production of some inflammatory chemicals and to activate pain-reducing receptors in the body. Additionally, some studies have suggested that CBD may have neuroprotective and antioxidant properties, which could add to its potential health advantages.

How does a 5000mg CBD cream aid in post-workout recovery then? Here are a few advantages to take into account:

  • Reducing pain and inflammation: Some studies have suggested that CBD may have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, making it a potential natural treatment option for conditions like arthritis, chronic pain, and muscle soreness.
  • Improving skin health: CBD cream may be beneficial for certain skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, and dermatitis, as it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that may help to reduce redness and irritation.
  • Improving muscle and joint function: Some people use CBD cream for relief from muscle and joint pain, and to improve mobility and flexibility.
  • Improving overall quality of life: Many people report feeling an overall improvement in their quality of life after using CBD cream for various health conditions, as it may help to reduce pain, inflammation, anxiety, and stress.

How Effective is CBD Oil for Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Does CBD relieve arthritis symptoms? Animal studies have suggested that CBD has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, but quality human studies have not been measured yet. Anecdotally, some arthritis sufferers who have tried CBD report measurable pain relief, improved sleep, and/or decreased anxiety. On the other hand, some people who take CBD for arthritis do not experience any symptom improvements.

Me and my Pop. We are in a doctors waiting room

My Fathers RH Story:

My father who was a Vietnam Veteran and had Debilitating RH, so much it deformed his hands and feet. He would use the 5000mg cooling cream I created and keep it by his bed at night since often times he would wake up with terrible muscle cramps in his legs.

He would use the 2000mg CBD oil on his hands and feet or he would use the 10,000mg cream. We could not get him to take the CBD oil orally. He was just dead set against it. Anything to do with marijuana he wanted nothing to do it, even though I promised him it would not get him high or buzzed since this was from the hemp plant and not the marijuana plant. So I do not have any first hand experience to share with my customers about taking it orally.

Now this did not cure his RH but it did help lessen the pain he was experiencing. It actually made his last few years that much more comfortable even though the RH was still ravaging his body.

Should You Try CBD?

There is ongoing research to determine the safety of CBD. Currently, very little is known about CBD use by arthritis sufferers. Moderate doses have not been linked to any significant safety issues to date. Some medications that people with arthritis frequently take may interact with CBD, according to some researchers so always check with your medical doctor before using any dietary supplement.

If you would like to try some CBD then I recommend you try the one my pop used.

How Much CBD is Needed for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Millions of people around the world are afflicted by the common disease known as arthritis. It can have a significant negative impact on a person’s quality of life and is characterized by joint pain and inflammation. There is no known treatment for arthritis, but there are ways to manage the symptoms. The use of CBD oil is one of these remedies. Based on the most recent research, we’ll examine the advantages of taking CBD for arthritis in this article.

What is CBD and How Does it Work for Arthritis?

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is a substance found in hemp plants. CBD, as opposed to THC, the primary psychoactive component in marijuana, is non-psychoactive, which means it doesn’t give you a “high.” CBD from the hemp plant is extracted to make CBD oil, which is then diluted with a carrier oil like coconut or olive oil.

The anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties of CBD have been demonstrated. Orally consumed CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which controls a number of processes including pain, mood, and sleep. CBD can help people with arthritis feel less pain and less inflammatory response by interacting with this system.

How to Take CBD for Arthritis

CBD can be applied topically, sublingually, or taken orally to treat arthritis. Oral ingestion is the most popular technique, in which CBD oil is consumed as drops, capsules, or gummies. This convenient and simple method enables the body’s endocannabinoid system to interact with CBD as it enters the bloodstream.

Using Topical CBD creams

Localized pain relief is also accomplished with the use of topical CBD products like creams and lotions. These medicines are absorbed through the skin after being applied directly to the injured joint. This was my fathers preferred method. He used the 5000mg cream and the 10,000mg cream. Being a Vietnam veteran he refused to take the oils orally! Even though I assured him there would be no high.

  • Start with the 5000mg cream and use about a gram once a day. If needed you can use up to 3x a day. If you need to use it 3x a day then go up to the 10,000mg cream and see if you only need to use it once or 2x a day. Everyone is different. I have some customers who only need to use it once a day before bed.

CBD Oral Dosage and Safety

The dosage of CBD for arthritis depends on a number of variables, including body weight, the severity of the condition, and the person’s tolerance to the product, and varies from person to person. It’s crucial to begin with a small dosage and increase it gradually until you find the level that works for you.

  • Start with the 2000mg tincture oil. Use about half a dropper full before bed. See how our body feels. IF you need to increase it the use a full dropper once or twice a day.

It’s also crucial to remember that CBD is typically regarded as safe, with few side effects having been documented. Prior to beginning any new treatment, it is, however, always advisable to seek medical advice, especially if you are already taking any prescription drugs.

Conclusion

Since CBD oil has been demonstrated to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, it may be used as a treatment for arthritis. CBD has the potential to offer relief from the signs and symptoms of arthritis, enabling you to live a better quality of life, whether you use it topically, sublingually, or orally. It’s crucial to speak with a healthcare professional if you’re thinking about taking CBD for arthritis to make sure it’s safe and suitable for you.

Does CBD Cream Get Into Bloodstream?

If you are using a topical, like a cream or salve then the answer is no. The CBD gets absorbed into the skin but it does not enter the bloodstream. The ability for a product to enter the bloodstream is called bioavailability. CBD in any externally applied product does not have bioavailability, and therefore does not enter the bloodstream.

Instead, CBD uses the cannabinoid receptors in the skin (and other places all over the body) that are part of the endocannabinoid system to target problem areas.

Of course if you take cbd orally with one of our tinctures or our gummies then the cbd will enter the bloodstream.

What is the endocannabinoid system (ECS)

All mammals, including humans, have an endocannabinoid system (ECS), a complex molecular system that controls a number of physiological functions such as appetite, mood, pain perception, and sleep. Endocannabinoids, which are organic substances created by the body, and their receptors, which are located on the surface of cells all over the body, make up the ECS. Endocannabinoids can change cellular activity and have an impact on physiological processes when they bind to their receptors and initiate a number of signaling pathways. It is believed that the endocannabinoid system contributes to the body’s ability to maintain homeostasis by regulating and balancing a number of physiological systems.

Choosing The Best CBD Cream for Neuropathy Pain

Introduction

Neuropathy is a broad term that refers to the damage of the nerves or nervous system. It can affect any part of your body and cause pain, numbness, and weakness. Neuropathy most often affects the hands and feet, but it can also impact other areas of your body such as your arms, legs and torso. Often it causes a tingling or numbness. Depending on where you feel pain from neuropathy (such as one leg), this condition may be more common than you think! It’s important to know that neuropathy isn’t actually a disease—it’s simply a symptom of another condition.

CBD cream for neuropathy pain

CBD Cream is an effective natural treatment for neuropathy and other conditions. CBD cream can be used to treat pain, inflammation, anxiety, insomnia, and more.

To treat neuropathy symptoms with CBD cream:

  • Apply the cream twice daily to affected areas of skin
  • Rub gently into skin for 20 to 30 seconds until absorbed

How CBD Creams Work for Pain Relief

CBD creams work through the activation of your endocannabinoid system. The CB1 and CB2 receptors are found in the skin, blood vessels, and brain, as well as other areas of the body. They work to modulate pain signals in your body.

CBD creams can be applied directly to the surface of your skin or muscle tissue to help relieve pain, inflammation, swelling and spasms associated with neuropathy. You can use them on any part of your body where you experience discomfort or discomforting symptoms like those listed above.

Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is extracted from the resin glands on cannabis buds and flowers. This oil is high in CBD content and is used for wellness purposes. Hemp oil is made from the seeds of cannabis and has less than 0.3 percent THC, while CBD oil comes from the leaves, flowers and stalks of the same plant. Because they come from different parts of the cannabis plant, they have different effects. This means that CBD isolate products are less effective since they only contain one compound that provides therapeutic benefits while full-spectrum products provide multiple benefits working together synergistically.

CBD is the most abundant cannabinoid in the plant, making up 40% of the plant’s extract. It also contains a wide range of medicinal benefits that can help treat many different health conditions.

However, CBD is non-psychoactive, which means it doesn’t get you high—and this is why it’s legal in all 50 states. It’s legal to buy CBD products online or in stores, but because THC (the psychoactive component) is illegal in most states, some companies sell full-spectrum extracts that contain both compounds with varying ratios depending on their needs.

You can apply CBD cream to your shoulder or other muscle groups in order to relieve pain there, as well as generally boost your immune system. The fat in the topical passes through your skin and into your bloodstream, providing localized relief to a specific area of your body.

CBD is a fat-soluble compound; this means that it will dissolve into fats and oils that can pass through the skin barrier if they’re applied topically (on the surface of the skin). If you’re looking for pain relief from soft tissues such as muscles and joints, then applying a thin layer over those areas may be ideal!

Neuropathy is a condition that affects your nerves, causing weakness and numbness in your hands and feet. It can also affect other parts of your body, such as the face or abdomen. This can be caused by different reasons diabetes, alcoholism (especially alcoholism), smoking cigarettes or even exposure to toxins like heavy metals found in some occupations like construction work or farming where pesticides are used on crops grown specifically for human consumption by spraying them with insecticides containing these heavy metals. California Failed To Pass Legislation

We are disappointed to report that efforts have failed, for the time being, to pass legislation in California that would explicitly permit the retail sale of hemp-derived CBD as a dietary supplement, cosmetic, and food and beverage additive.

Due to intra-party fights that had nothing to do with legislation, (No surprise) the state Senate leadership refused to allow a vote on the legislative language, despite the Governor’s endorsement and the overwhelming bi-partisan support for hemp farmers and our industry.

However, Governor Newsom’s team agreed to immediately establish a policy of formal enforcement discretion, under which current retailers and manufacturers, operating in good faith compliance with current law, would be allowed to continue to sell and manufacture their hemp CBD products until a new law is enacted.

How To Enhance The Effects of CBD With Food

fish and cbd

But which foods Steve?

A couple of recent reports propose that taking CBD with food may be beneficial. But which foods boost the effects of CBD?  Well today we will look into that very question!

Low rates of bio-availability (Yes I had to look up the definition when someone was talking about bio-availability a few years ago lol – the proportion of a drug or other substance which enters the circulation when introduced into the body and so is able to have an active effect.) have led people to ask how can we increase CBD effectiveness.

Due to the fact CBD oils are popular in the mainstream and not just with the hippie culture of the 60’s, it was just a matter of time before researches figured out how to maximize absorption rates. And yes taking CBD with certain foods can improve its bioavailability.

Another reason to love chocolate!

One study proposed that a high-fat meal elevated blood levels of CBD by a factor of 14. Cannabinoids are fat-soluble, and so the presence of fat might help CBD move into the bloodstream.

To improve absorption, consider pairing your CBD intake with foods which are rich in healthy fats:

  • Olive or sesame oil
  • MCT oil, or coconut oil, which can improve the bio-availability of CBD (This is standard in our CBD oils that we make here)
  • Emulsified fats, such as those found in chocolate or mayonnaise (Yes, thank you! I wont feel guilty eating that Hershey bar now)
  • Nuts
  • Avocado (Just another reason for me to add more Guacamole to my burrito!)
  • Fish

Either eat your meal and then take your CBD drops or add the CBD oil to foods like oatmeal and smoothies.

How To Make Peanut Butter CBD Dog Treats

Peanut butter cbd dog treats

Regardless of whether you’re in the process of training your fur baby or you want to give them treats to help with their everyday aches and pains this recipe is delicious

Peanut butter treats are appreciated by dogs all over the world and will also be the ideal beginning for your dog’s CBD journey.

For this particular recipe, you will need:

  •  ¼ cup of peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • 3 cups flour (If your dog is gluten intolerant, you can use gluten-free flour as an alternative.)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2/3 cup of apple sauce
  • CBD oil (Pet or human cbd oil will work just fine)

SIDE NOTE: If you are using a human CBD oil please be sure it is all-natural (no flavorings, especially peppermint as that can sometimes irritate their stomachs) We of course have an all-natural CBD oil (shameless self-promotion) and a pet CBD oil. As for me I use the human cbd oil because it is more value for the money. But you can use the pet cbd oil as well, they just tend to be a lower milligram. On a side note the only difference between a pet cbd oil and a human one is that the human oil has to adhere to higher standards in the development process.

Amount of CBD Oil To Add: The amount you are going to add is going to be dependent on how much your dog weighs. I would start with 2 full droppers of a 1000mg oil. If you are using one of our 1000mg CBD sprays that would be 6 squirts. Thats about 60mg for the whole batch of treats you are making. Which depending how how big you make your treats could average out to about 6mg per treat if you made 10 treats.

Pet CBD dosage chart - how much cbd to give to pets

Once you have all the necessary ingredients gathered up you are ready to begin

Step 1 – preheat the oven up to 350 degrees

Step 2 – Add in the apple sauce, peanut butter, eggs and oils into a bowl

Step 3 – Slowly mix in the baking soda and flour to make a firm dough. Making sure that the flour is thoroughly combined into the mix.

Step 4 – Portion the dough into the size that best fits your pet. I like to roll it into small balls. Small enough to where if Shadow (that’s my dog) gulps it down she wont choke on it. But everyone knows their dog best so please do what’s appropriate for your fur baby.

Step 5 – Place the portions onto the cookie sheet and place in the oven for 15 minutes.

DONE!

A few Tips

Avoid Toxic Ingredients – There are some ingredients that are poisonous to dogs. Raisins and chocolate especially.

Don’t give them all out at once – Its going to be delicious and they will beg for more. However, keep in mind that CBD should be consumed in moderation.

Keep an eye on their behavior – If you notice any changes in the health or behavior of your pooch, do not hesitate to give your veterinarian a call. Mine will usually just go lay down after, she gets very relaxed.
